Lift sling rigging company produce 50 Tonne Round Sling,WLL 50T 50000kg Polyester Round Slings, Heavy Duty round lifting sling.
50 Tonne Round Sling
א 50 tonne round sling is a heavy-duty polyester sling rated 50 ה (50,000 kg) in a vertical lift, with a 350 t minimum breaking load on a 7:1 זיכערקייַט פאַקטאָר. A parallel core of high-tenacity polyester carries the weight inside a woven sleeve; the sleeve takes the abrasion, and no metal on the sling ever touches the load.
Fifty tonnes is the middle of the heavy range. It covers steel coil packs, precast sections, machine beds and fabricated frames without the bulk of a 100 t sling — heavy enough that the lift has to be planned, still light enough to rig by hand with two people. We build the 50t round sling as an endless round sling or an eye and eye round sling, to the length you specify.
- 50 t vertical working load limit — 50,000 kg on the label
- 350 t minimum breaking load at a 7:1 זיכערקייַט פאַקטאָר
- 40 t choked; 100 t in a basket at 0–7°
- Double-wall sleeve recommended at this capacity
- Endless or eye-and-eye; 2–12 m standard, מער צו סדר
- Load tested, with test figures and a certificate on request

50 Tonne Round Sling Rating and Configuration
The figure on the label is the vertical rating. Every other arrangement is that figure multiplied by a mode factor, and at 50 t the gap between one arrangement and the next is measured in tens of tonnes.
| Configuration | Mode factor | Rated capacity |
|---|---|---|
| Vertical | 1.0 | 50 ה |
| Choked | 0.8 | 40 ה |
| Basket, 0–7° | 2.0 | 100 ה |
| Basket, 7–45° | 1.4 | 70 ה |
| Basket, 45–60° | 1.0 | 50 ה |
די 350 t minimum breaking load is a property of the sling itself; the mode factors change what you may lift, not what the sling can take. Confirm the arrangement before the lift.
What Changes at 50 Tonnes
At 50 t the core becomes a multi-bundle parallel yarn core and the sleeve a genuinely bulky tube — around 90 mm across in double-wall construction. The sling weighs roughly 6.5 kg per metre, so a 6 m eye-to-eye sling is close to 39 kg: a two-person lift at the hook, or a forklift if it has to travel far. A sleeve that size also cannot be gathered into a very short eye-to-eye distance, so a minimum length applies and rises with the capacity. Tell us the capacity and the length together, and size the hook bowl and shackle for a 50 t termination rather than for the tonnage alone — an under-rated shackle becomes the weak link in a 350 t sling.

|---|---|---|
| 2 עם | 13 kg | Shortest practical length; tight headroom, single choke |
| 3 עם | 20 kg | General vertical and choked lifts |
| 4 עם | 26 kg | Basket lifts on plant and castings |
| 6 עם | 39 kg | The most common size — coils, frames, machine beds |
| 8 עם | 52 kg | Long fabrications and pipe spools |
| 10 עם | 65 kg | Structural steel and long bundles |
| 12 עם | 78 kg | Longest standard length; above this to order |
An endless sling is ordered by circumference, and because the loop is doubled when it hangs the usable height is roughly half of it. א 12 m circumference gives about 6 m of working length.
Two-Leg and Four-Leg Assemblies
Most 50 t slings go into a multi-leg assembly rather than a single vertical hitch. The figures below are for symmetrical loads with the legs at equal angles — an uneven load puts the whole share on fewer legs.
| Assembly | Leg angle to vertical | Total capacity |
|---|---|---|
| 2-leg | 0–45° | 70 ה |
| 2-leg | 45–60° | 50 ה |
| 3-leg and 4-leg | 0–45° | 105 ה |
| 3-leg and 4-leg | 45–60° | 75 ה |
A four-leg assembly is rated as three legs, the usual convention, because a rigid load rarely shares evenly across four. Where a two-leg assembly would open into a wide angle, a ליפטינג שטראַל or spreader beam keeps the legs vertical and the full rating available.
Endless or Eye-and-Eye
Both are built on the same 50 t core and the same sleeve; the difference is the termination. An endless loop rigs vertically, choked, in a basket or double-wrapped, and the whole loop can be rotated to move wear away from the bearing point. An eye-and-eye sling has a defined length and two defined pick-up points, which makes repeat lifts repeat exactly and makes hooking and shackling quicker.
Construction detail for each is on the endless round sling and eye and eye round sling pages. For a hot load, the aramid round sling and high temperature round sling carry the same class of rating in a fibre that tolerates heat.

Handling, Marking and Inspection
Above 12 t the EN 1492-2 colour code no longer identifies the capacity, so the sewn label and the sleeve print are the only reliable statement of what the sling is rated for. Read the label, not the colour.
- Check the label every use — working load limit, length and batch, legible and still attached.
- Run the sleeve through your hands — cuts, abrasion, glazing and hardening are all grounds for a closer look.
- Core exposure retires the sling — anywhere the core shows or bulges through the sleeve, it comes out of service immediately.
- Inspect the eyes first on an eye-and-eye sling — the stitch rows and the gather at each eye carry the whole load.
- Never drag a loaded sling — dragging spends the strength of the sleeve faster than any lift.
- Store it coiled, off the floor, out of sunlight and away from heat, where it can be inspected.

Load Testing and Documentation
Every sling is checked on its sleeve, its termination, its eye-to-eye length and its label before packing, and slings are load tested to verify the rating. On request the consignment can travel with the fibre certificate, the batch test figures and a test certificate. If your project calls for a witnessed test or a third-party inspection, tell us before the order — the certification page lists the management systems behind the process.

Where 50 Tonne Round Slings Are Used
- Steel coil, slab and plate packs, where a soft bearing protects the surface
- Precast concrete sections, piles and structural steel
- Machine beds, dies, castings and machined components
- Welded frames and fabrications lifted in a basket or two-leg assembly
- Pipe spools, shafts and rolls, where the round body wraps the curve
- Shipyard blocks, marine modules and wind turbine components
For sheared edges and hot work, compare webbing slings and wire rope slings before assuming a round sling is the right tool; above this class, the 100 tonne round sling covers the next step up, and the full range of polyester round slings from 1 ה צו 100 ה is on the category page.

How much can a 50 tonne round sling lift?
50 t in a vertical lift, which is the figure on the label. Choked, it is rated 40 ה. In a basket it is 100 t at 0–7°, 70 t at 7–45° and 50 t at 45–60°. The capacity you actually have depends on the arrangement, so confirm the arrangement before the lift.
What is the breaking strength of a 50 tonne round sling?
350 t minimum breaking load, from a 7:1 safety factor on the 50 ה אַרבעט מאַסע שיעור. Where a market requires 6:1 or 8:1, the sling is produced to that factor and the label is marked accordingly.
Is a 50 t round sling colour coded?
ניין. The EN 1492-2 colour code runs from 1 ה צו 12 ה, so a 50 t sling carries no capacity colour. The working load limit on the sewn label and the sleeve print are what govern — never read the capacity of a heavy sling from its colour.
Can it be made to a custom length?
יא. Eye-and-eye slings are made to the distance between the eyes; endless slings are made to a circumference. A minimum length applies and it rises with the capacity, because a 50 t sleeve cannot be gathered into a short span. Send the pick-up distance or the working height and we will confirm what is possible.
How heavy is a 50 tonne round sling?
א 6 m eye-to-eye sling in double-wall polyester is around 39 kg, and mass rises by roughly 6.5 kg per metre. Plan two people or a forklift for handling, keep it off the ground and never drag it.
Do you supply test certificates with the order?
יא. The fibre certificate, the batch test figures and a test certificate can travel with the consignment on request. Tell us the standard marking or third-party inspection your market needs before the order, so the documentation is agreed with the specification.
Request a 50 tonne round sling quote — send the load, the pick-up points, the arrangement and the environment, plus the marking and certification your market requires. We will come back with a length, a sleeve, a test figure and a factory-direct price.
