Fireproof Aramid Kevlar Full Body Safety Harness
A fireproof aramid Kevlar full body safety harness is personal fall protection built for the places where ordinary webbing is not allowed to work: welding stations, foundries, steel mills, hot-work maintenance, and fire and rescue duties. This one is a five-point full body harness in inherent flame-resistant para-aramid (Kevlar-type) webbing with a forged steel dorsal D-ring. The fibre does not melt and does not drip, so nothing molten lands on the wearer, and the body-support geometry survives the heat that would soften and melt a polyester harness in the same position.

Why aramid webbing, and not FR-treated polyester
An FR finish on polyester delays ignition; it does not change what the fibre does once the finish has been washed, worn or burnt off. Para-aramid is flame resistant in the fibre itself, so there is no additive to lose. That is the practical difference on a hot-work permit: welding spatter, grinding sparks and radiant heat that perforate a polyester harness leave an aramid harness intact, and the harness does not produce molten drips against the skin.
| 財産 | Aramid / Kevlar webbing | Polyester (PES) webbing |
|---|---|---|
| Behaviour in flame | Carbonises, 自己消火性, no melt and no drip | Softens, melts and can drip |
| Thermal limit of the fibre | Decomposes around 427 °C and above; 融点がない | Melts around 250–260 °C |
| Limited oxygen index | ≈ 29% — stops burning when the flame is removed | ≈ 20–21% |
| Elongation at break | Low, roughly 3–4% — less stretch under arrest load | Higher, roughly 12–15% |
| Welding spatter and hot work | Suitable, with matching hardware and lanyard | Not suitable |
| Abrasion and UV | Good; high strength retention in service | Very good |
| Cost | Premium | Economical |
| Typical duty | Welding, foundry, steel mill, fire and rescue | General construction at height |
The figures above are typical fibre-level values given to explain the difference in behaviour between the two materials. They are not a substitute for the batch test report, which is supplied with the goods.

Structure and key components

- Dorsal D-ring — forged steel rear attachment point for the fall-arrest lanyard or self-retracting lifeline.
- Shoulder straps — adjustable front and rear, spreading the arrest force across the upper torso.
- Chest strap — holds the shoulder straps in place so they cannot slip off in a fall.
- Sub-pelvic strap — supports the pelvis so the body stays upright rather than tipping head-down.
- Thigh straps — fully adjustable; padding optional for long shifts.
- Adjusters and buckles — pass-through or quick-release; FR-covered versions where spatter is expected.
- Traceability label — model, batch number, production date and inspection record on every harness.
Applications

- Welding, cutting and grinding at height, including hot-work permits on steel structures
- Foundry, steel mill and rolling mill maintenance and relining
- Fire fighting, fire rescue and emergency descent duties
- Power generation, switchyard and utility pole work with an arc-flash risk
- Oil, gas and petrochemical plant shutdown and turnaround work
- Shipyard, port and heavy fabrication, where spatter and radiant heat are constant
- Tower, mast and antenna work where neighbouring hot work is under way
How to specify your fireproof harness
- Describe the exposure. Welding spatter, radiant heat, molten metal splash or arc flash — each points to a different hardware and lanyard configuration.
- Name the market and the standard. EN 361, ANSI Z359.11, GB 6095, or a fire-service standard. The marking and the documents follow from this.
- Choose the body configuration. Five-point fall arrest as standard, or add a positioning belt, chest D-ring or side D-rings.
- Confirm the user weight and size range. 60–100 kg standard, 100–140 kg heavy duty; step up a size for bulky workwear.
- Match the lanyard. FR shock-absorbing lanyard, double-leg 100% tie-off lanyard, scaffold hook or karabiner to suit the anchorage.
- State the branding and documents. Woven label, logo, instruction sheet, 小売包装, test reports — settle these at the sample stage, not after production.
Quality control, marking and traceability
Each production run passes documented checkpoints: incoming inspection of aramid webbing, thread and hardware; in-line inspection of stitch density and bar-tack reinforcement; finished-goods inspection of buckle function, D-ring security and strap lengths; and a static strength test on sampled units. Every harness carries a traceability label tying it to its batch, so inspection and retirement records can follow the harness through its service life.
Retirement rules matter more on a heat-exposed harness than on a general one. Charred, glazed or stiffened aramid webbing does not recover its strength, and a harness exposed to flame or hot metal is withdrawn from service and inspected, whatever it looks like.
Why buy from Lifute
リフトスリングリギングカンパニー, Ltd. has manufactured lifting, rigging and safety equipment in Taizhou, Jiangsu Province for nearly thirty years. For buyers specifying a 安全ハーネス in a heat-resistant material, that means consistent aramid webbing between batches, stitching that holds its specification, hardware that is not substituted between orders, and export packaging that survives the journey. The same aramid range is made in-house, so a fall-protection package can be ordered together: the full body safety harnesses for fall protection, an aramid webbing sling, an aramid round sling, アラミド編組ロープ, a fire rescue rope and the matching aramid fall protection safety net. Certificates for the factory are listed on our certification page.
- Factory-direct pricing on trial and bulk orders.
- OEM and ODM support — colour, labels, logo and packaging to your artwork.
- Export experience — cartons, labels and shipping documents prepared for international buyers.
- One factory for the whole system — harness, lanyard, connectors and safety net ship together.
Frequently asked questions
Does a fireproof aramid Kevlar safety harness never burn?
Aramid is flame resistant rather than fireproof in the absolute sense. The fibre does not melt and does not drip, it is self-extinguishing, and it carbonises instead of burning through, so it holds together far longer than polyester webbing in the same exposure. It is not a heat barrier, and in molten metal splash the configuration and the clothing underneath matter as much as the harness.
Is an aramid harness heavier than a polyester safety harness?
Unit weight is similar — around 0.9 to 1.2 kg for a five-point harness in either material. Aramid webbing is a little stiffer and less supple than polyester at the same width, so the fit should be set on the wearer and, for large or mixed gangs, checked on a sample before the bulk order is placed.
Which standard should the fireproof safety harness meet?
It depends on the destination market and the job. EN 361 covers full body harnesses in the EU, ANSI Z359.11 in North America and GB 6095 in China; fire service and arc-flash duties add their own requirements, and flame spread is normally tested to a method such as EN ISO 15025. Tell us the market and the duty, and we will confirm the applicable version, the marking and the documents that can travel with the shipment.
Can the aramid harness be cleaned, and when must it be retired?
Clean it as the maker states, using a mild agent, and never with chlorine bleach; aramid is also attacked by strong acids and alkalis. Retire the harness immediately after it has been loaded in a fall, after heat damage, charring or glazing, after any cut or chemical staining that reaches the webbing or the stitching, or when the label can no longer be read.
What is the minimum order quantity, and can the harness be private labelled?
Standard MOQ starts from 200 pcs per size and colour, with lower trial quantities negotiable for a first order. Webbing colour, woven labels, プリントロゴ, instruction sheet and retail packaging can be produced to your artwork, and samples can be arranged before mass production.
