25mm 0.5 Tonne Flat Web Slings – Single Use – Endless

This is the sling you cut off at the destination. Half a tonne, 25 mm wide, endless, made for one trip — so there is no inspection register, no return freight, and nothing to store when the crate is opened at the other end.

What “Single Use” Actually Buys You

A reusable sling is a capital item: it has a register, an inspection interval, a place on the wall and a person responsible for it. A single-use sling has none of that. It goes on the load, travels, and is cut off when the crate is opened — the whole lifecycle is one shipment.

That is why one-way slings are bought by the thousand rather than the dozen, and why the price per lift matters more than the price per sling. The saving is not in the webbing; it is in everything you no longer have to do.

Why 25 mm

Twenty-five millimetres is narrow enough to pass between pallet boards, through a crate gap, or around a bar the hook cannot reach. It also weighs almost nothing — a packer can carry fifty without noticing, and a roll of them fits in a drawer rather than a cabinet.

Narrow webbing does concentrate pressure on soft loads, so on finished panels or painted parts either use a corner sleeve or step up to the 1 t reusable sling, where the body is wide enough to spread the load.

Endless, Because There Is Nothing to Snag

No eyes, no thimbles, no hooks, no metal. The belt chokes anywhere along its length, pulls through a gap and comes back on itself. On a crate that is already closed, that matters more than a rated eye — you are working through a 30 mm slot, not rigging from above.

Fitting It in Four Steps

  1. Pass the belt round the load and through itself, keeping the join away from the edge and away from the hook.
  2. Pull the choke tight by hand — a slack choke slips and shock-loads the webbing on the first lift.
  3. Keep the belt off sharp corners; a sleeve costs less than the claim.
  4. At destination, cut the belt. Never re-use a cut one-way sling, and never lift people with it.

The line we do not cross: a single-use sling is for goods, on one trip. If the sling is going back into a rack, into an inspection register, or anywhere near a person, it is the wrong product — take the 1 t or 2 t reusable sling instead.

Where It Pays

  • One-way export crates and machinery skids that are unpacked overseas.
  • Bagged goods and drums where a hook would tear the packaging.
  • Container loading, where the sling stays with the cargo.
  • Precast and stone units that are lifted once, on site, and never again.

Buyer Questions

Can I use it more than once?

Physically yes, and that is exactly the mistake. A one-way sling has no inspection history, so once it comes back it is an unrated strap with a faded label. If the sling is coming back, buy the reusable version instead — it is cheaper over ten trips.

Why is it white when other sizes are colour coded?

EN 1492-1 starts its colour code at 1 t (violet) — 0.5 t sits below the coded range, so it is supplied white or natural. Read the label, not the colour.

What length do I order?

2 m is the standard and the size that goes round most crates and drum groups. For a choke on a single bundle, 1.5 m is often enough; for a container load pulled through two points, 3 m. Tell us the wrap and we will size it.

Is there a certificate with it?

The belt follows EN 1492-1 construction with a 7:1 factor, and the label carries WLL, length and CE. If your QA procedure requires a batch certificate, say so when you order and it ships with the lot.

Can it lift overhead?

Within 500 kg and with the load controlled, yes — for goods only. It is never a sling for people, and never for a lift over an area where someone is standing.

Ask for a one-way sling priceTell us the crate, the wrap and the quantity — one-way slings are quoted by the thousand.
