Two eyes make a vertical or basket sling; one eye makes a choke, and a choke is what pipe, rubber and sheet usually want, because the grip tightens with the load instead of relying on friction alone.

Marking and Packing With the Consignment
A disposable webbing sling one eye is only useful if the receiving site can read what it is.
